Reporting Structure

An overview of the reporting structure for the Edinburgh Award.

Award Leaders pass relevant information to the EAC; this will include all documents required at the accreditation stage as well as student information and submissions. The EAC reports into the Edinburgh Award Manager. Beyond this there exists the Edinburgh Award Advisory Group, made up of senior staff members who must be consulted on any changes made to the Award and any breaches of the Award procedures or framework. Any changes to the structure of the Award must be approved by the group and they can, at any time, ask to see documentation relating to any version of the Award.  Collectively, these individuals oversee the Edinburgh Award on behalf of the University.

For this reason paperwork i.e. Framework and indicative Session Plans, must be tied off before a version of the Award can begin to run and is why we need to have all students’ submissions before we can confirm with students that they have received the Award and it can be entered on their Higher Education Achievement Record (HEAR).

Below is a diagram of the reporting structure for the Award.
